Car rental in Spain

Each car's deposit is shown before you book. The deposit is not part of the rental price: the rental company holds it on your card at pick-up and releases it after the car is returned; how long the release takes depends on the company and your bank.

Minimum driver age, how long you must have held your licence and the required documents depend on the rental company; each offer shows its conditions before you book. You need a passport, a driving licence and a credit card in the driver's name. Some countries and rental companies may ask for an International Driving Permit (IDP); check the company's conditions and the country's rules before you travel.

Insurance cover and excess, mileage limit and fuel policy depend on the rental company and the car; each offer shows them before you book. The total rental price and the deposit are shown before payment; anything payable at the desk is shown separately.

No. You pick up and return the car in the same country; one-way rentals between countries are not offered.
